Midnight Blue

Post by Midnight Blue »

Having bought Midnight Blue in early 2008 I embarked on a restoration that is now fast coming to a happy conclusion. I have been persuaded to contribute to “Restorations on the forum and will do so in the form of a “Blog. I will try and give a feel for my pitfalls and my high points, and will name the guys who have really contributed to the successes. I can tell you; on that basis not everybody who has contributed will be named! The pain and memory has faded a little from previous winters but the photographs, of which I have many, rarely lie.
The programme is to launch on 28 April 2011. So between now and then I will canter through the earlier restoration and will dwell on the progress from the time Midnight Blue went to Custom Yacht Works in February 2010, two years into the restoration process until April this year.
In February 2008, having looked at a number of H28's from Dartmouth (Starhunter) to Glasgow (Marie Louise), I bought Midnight Blue which was lying at Foulkes Boatyard.
