templates and bucks

Post by osu700 »

I have just about finished phase 1 of the refit on Dawn Huntress. New deck is now down. I have a full set of margin plank templates in mdf which I can't bring myself to chuck on the bonfire. A huge amount of work went into them. It occurs to me that anyone else doing the same job would be able to use them. Whilst they may not be exactly the same on another Huntress they will be very close and can be modified accordingly. I have the kingplank template as well which may be useful.
I also have an mdf buck for the cavitation plate on the bottom of the steps. I doubt if there is much variation between hulls. Again it could be tweaked to suit.
I hearby offer these things to the club and its members gratis in the hope that they might save someone else the aggro of making them from scratch.
If anyone is interested please contact me via the forum.
Yours Aye

Funny you should say this Hugo, but your post has reminded me that in my garage I have a box full of the H23/H28 hull "arrowheads and feathers". There is probably a techy term for these but am sure you will know what I mean. They were given to me just as FBM Cowes was being demolished. Am happy to offload them onto Scott if he has space but would imagine he has no room. Anyone wanting to use them as a template is welcome to contact me at tonyh-h@tiscali.co.uk They are all lovely and unique F.M. originals and they are all slightly different as they were all hand made.

Definitely no room at Steptoe's yard.

I suspect the present Mrs P. will be filing for divorce if any more stuff turns up...
