Maidfast.

Does anybody know what happened to Maidfast. The boat was extensivly restored by Huntsman marine, I think in around 2000. Potentially a valued boat with racing history.

Was for sale for a long time, I think the chap is a club member, not sure of the current status.

David,

Charles L. has a recent list of known whereabouts of most Faireys and will no doubt be in touch. :-)

Sorry David
The last I heard of Maidfast was she was ashore at Romsey about 10 years ago ...
Of the 119 hulls originally listed
8 have been lost
20 were shells or far flung exports
Recent spotters account for 43 in service or being seriously restored
Leaving 28 unaccounted for.
Even if all 28 were lost (and I'm sure they are not) this survival rate after an average of 50 years is quite remarkable!
Charles
