23' Christina Photographs

Post by mcjp6 »

from proud new owner of a 23' Christina.......I have added some running shots and internal shots of AM56 if anyone is interested go to www.msnusers.com/christinahuntress and click on "pictures" on the left hand side of the page, there are two pages.

The pictures were taken on the Hawkesbury river which is about 25 miles north of Sydney.

Hi Michael,
Great pics and obviously a great location - someone has obviously done a lot of work on your 'baby' well done, she looks lovely.
Hope you got the Huntress pics ok.
I have seen a photo of a Spearfish in a bay in the Sydney area, god knows how it got there or what its history is but hope one day the owner might get in touch to learn a bit more about her. Meanwhile over to you to keep a look out for me

Tony,

Thanks for the compliment, but the previous owner of 15 years deserves the credit for the restoration and her current good looks!! Very happy with the recent purchase, she does look good and absoulutely flies along! And just cruising at 2,900 rpm she is quite economical.

One problem! Going anywhere, one has to allow at least an extra hour as many people stop you and talk about the boat, where from, history etc.

Most classic "speed" boats here tend to be either glass or if timber tend to be of the Riva style. Fairey Marine is pretty much unheard of here.

Yes the location is great. I manage a marina here on the Hawkesbury so I can get to see my boat each day!! Also the opportunity to take some reasonable running shots. I am very lucky. In this boat it takes around an hour offshore from here to Sydney harbour. In the three weeks that I have owned AM56 each time I have been offshore it has been as flat as a pancake, which is dissapointing as I am looking forward to seeing how she handles in a bit of rough weather.

Many thanks for the Huntress pics.

I have not yet seen a Spearfish in Sydney (or any other FM boat for that matter), I will keep an eye out on the water and do often "trawl" the web so will let you know if anything is spotted.. When did you see the photo?? No other info??
kind regards,
MIchael
