Stainless fabricators - recommendations?
Getting ready for quite a bit of work on Halcyon this winter.......the list goes on and on.
I'm looking to get a pulpit made - does anyone have good recommendations for a company - ideally Hamble area?

Re: Stainless fabricators
Have you had any luck with this yet ? Having seen the S/S boarding ladder on the boat at the show I'm thinking of going for one as a replacement for the original wooden one!

I'm looking at doing an article on the 'pace of restoration' (I've a mega-missive on dinghy heritage soon to go live so this is an associated project) so will be talking to the likes of Nick and Terry&Mark, but I'll need to think carefully - I wonder what the wood would be for the steps - give that one will be living underwater full time!

Wood for steps, generally teak has been used, certainly so on my boat, plus a liberal addition of antifouling paint. In the absence of scarce teak, any African hardwood perhaps, carefully chamfered to prevent splinters, plus the aforesaid paint will no doubt do many seasons…..

I have had a couple of pieces made by :-https://www.latbros.co.uk/ they are at Hayling Island, they seem happy to work from my crappy drawing or on the item or at the boat, good work, top team and don't seem to be very costly
