Six weeks of working on her, bad weather and work commitments all vanished today, took 'BASTA' for a run and still grinning from ear to ear. nothing like a winter run out eh !

Hi Phantom,
Yes Fantome 'BASTA' is now based in Guernsey , purchased end of august and collected her first week of september, less than four hours to St Peter Port in a force 5-6 northeasterly along with spearfish 'MARLIN EXPRESS', another new addition to our shores.
What superb boats they are too, lots of work planned over the winter, electronics, curtains, carpets, sprayhood etc but family looking forward to next seasons boating.
I presume you are 'PHANTOM'S owner,if so where is she based and what hull number is she?
Regards John.

Hi John,
Good to hear from you. Excellent choice of boat - they certainly perform as good as they look. Yes The Phantom is our baby and very much a family boat. She is hull No 12 and effectively the last one built (discounting the boats that went to Lybia). We had based her on the Thames for the past couple of years, but next season will be south coast, hopefully Plymouth. Back in the summer we stopped at the Chandlery Barge , and noticed Basta looking a bit lonely. Glad to hear her new owner is making good use of her. Am I right in thinking she now has a pair of 350's? That's just plain greedy! Think Basta was the sole Fantome to race, so quite a special boat. We still have much to do on ours, bottom scraping at present, but have thoroughly enjoyed Fantome ownership. Keep a lookout for us next year.
Kind Regards, Den, Liz and daughter Isobel (2 & 1/2 and Fairey mad)
