Nick Burnham today

Post by Firefly »

Grant and I had a nice trip out of Dartmouth with Nick Burnham today on Grant s Supermarine
Swordfish Flamboyant.
Nick will be doing a meet the owner video, and has offered to do one on my Spearfish Firefly.
Lovely chap with a great sense of humour and huge knowledge of modern boats.
Super sunny day and calm sea. Out of Dart Marina it was all very refined, and in fact rather glamorous.
The Devon coast seemed like the South of France.

If some People have not heard of Nick Burnham he does the Aquaholic videos on U tube. Reviewing
boats and meeting boat owners. He is well known locally and now throughout the world for his videos, with many followers. His own boat is kept in Torquay. The majority of British manufacturers
and sales people welcome his videos which do much to popularise boating.
I am sure most people will have seen his reviews in MBY and Motor Boats Monthly, and probably his videos.

Yes, I have seen quite a few of his videos. They are pretty good on the whole, although I much prefer the reviews of the used boats. Look forward to seeing it. When is the video going live on YouTube?

Don't know Edward. I will tell you when I see it. He does not issue the ones that have not come over well, so hopefully it did.
It was funny Grant and I felt we knew him well already from having seen the videos so often, but of course we had never met him.

Nick has kindly asked me to be in one of his MBY features, a regular. What would you buy if you had £5
Million to spend. I am thinking of going for a Fleming 65, a Windy Kr44 and for pleasant day sailing a Rustler 34. Early days.

The video of Flamboyant is now on you tube. Grant and I with Nick Burnham.
I did hanker after it but will stay with the Spearfish as I have put so much into it.

Could you please post a link as the mighty 'YouTube' has probably banned me from exploring/searching anything to do with 'Flamboyant'! Thanks.

Great video, wonderful boat. It's certainly going down well with Nick's followers on YouTube!

If you type "Nick Burnham Aquaholic" into YouTube you'll find it easily.

A couple of Nicks followers mention Spearfish, so I will do the meet the owner with him next year, when over in Torquay.
I've done the wording for the £5mill dream boats for Nicks Mby feature and just need a photo of me and the Spearfish. Might as well do a bit on Spearfish if he will let me.

I was so pleased with myself at having managed to embed a youtube clip into our forum that I failed to notice I had embedded the wrong clip!

Above you should now see the Aquaholic video of Grant's boat.
