Moribund

Maybe it’s me ? I have had the pleasure of enjoying many Fairey boats, beginning in the late 60’s,a Bruce Campbell Christina (Volvo Penta outdrives) Huntsman 31 (Hull number 1 ) 3 Spearfish, and 2 Fantomes,
Old age overtook my ownership of Fairey’s some years ago, and now enjoy reading the owners website, still hankering a Fairey boat, but realising that “Ship has sailed” !
However, for some time, no new articles appear, the Site appears to be moribund ? I appreciate that there is a What’s App group that liase, but it is at the expense of the readers of the owners club web site …
May be it’s me ??
George

Hi George.
Hope you are well.
The way of the world being what it is the WhatsApp group reigns supreme.
I'm sure you would be welcome to participate in the group.

I currently do not own a Fairey, you will recall I was a subsequent owner of H31 number 1 , a Swordsman a Huntress 23 and finally a Spearfish. I still join in the WhatsApp group conversations.

I'm sure you're input would be welcome.

Regards Ian Elcock

I also think it’s a shame that the club website forum is so little used; the WhatsApp group is nice for keeping in touch, but it’s a very poor means of discussing a particular issue as there is no means of keeping the discussion relevant to a particular topic.
It was really great to see posts about an ongoing restoration, and it was also great to have a means of advertising boats, bits and bobs for sale.
Surely there’s room for both?

I like the forum, and it is of course useful and visible to a wider audience, and I don't do WhatsApp. I will aim to respond constructively whenever I can. Best T
