Perhaps I'll show you my photos from 2003, Ben. She looked quite presentable.
There is a theory - ok, mine - that she is the first of the WLS built boats, being Campbell hull 120, with 19 Fairey hulls ahead of her. But like so many things the numbers are probably much more random than that.
Mark, she is not a Fairey, but there are other Fairey hulled bass boats in Weymouth, including until recently, Rumble, the first Huntress, delivered to Max Aitken in 1959.
I've not found it possible to match up the other 23 foot hulls to the Fairey build lists, nor indeed the early Christina names. There were 19 Fairey hulled Christina 23s, but I have found evidence of at least 26 names....

Hi. As I was working in Weymouth earlier this week I took the trouble to have a look at this Beauty. Well, its still floating which is always a bonus. Their are many Mad Men belonging to this Club who have taken on similar projects. Me for one with Tornado. I see it has a Six Cylinder Ford Mermaid. An indestructible lump people would say. Incidentally I still have my Mermaid Ford 180 if anyones interested. Good as new if not a bit smokey. Lets hope someone takes a fancy to this early Christina. Im sure its worth saving. Alan.
