The Fairey Owners' Club

A busy engineer and Club member asked me to place this note due to a major upgrade on his 30' Fairey Spear:

Two Sabre 212C hp 6 cylinder turbo diesel engines.
One is a Dover block and the other an Ottosan but almost visually identical.
Plus engine instruments and Morse engine controls.

Two Borg-Warner 1:1 gearboxes plus two: shafts; P brackets; props (16.75 x 19.5); rudder tubes; rudders.

Engines on pallets and can be seen running in Poole.

I guess these are the engines out of Dawn Patrol. Interesting the rudders are not needed. What's the plan.

I think it's going to be extremely quick...

Not out drives I hope. The hull was not designed for that much weight at the stern.
Not apart from destroying a Spear/ Spearfish and its value.

That's a decent engine and gearbox package for someone, a Huntsman 28 would go very well with that pair.
