Considering a Huntress... help please

Dear all,

I am new to motorboats and to Faireys in particular and am considering a Fairey Huntress which looks to be just the right size for my needs and very, very pretty.

I'm ideally looking to use this on the River Alde in Suffolk and to keep it on a swinging mooring. Mostly pottering about on the river for picnics and the like and for the occasional overnight stay (2 persons, assuming I can persuade my wife!). The boat might occasionally need to some into coves and will possible be (gently) beached - the mud is very soft.

I'm completely ham fisted so ideally looking for a Huntress where all the hard work has been done and I can just enjoy it. I like the look of the boat for sale through Nicolle Associates - the ex Captain's launch from HMS Blake. is she known on here? Any thoughts?

All guidance enormously appreciated - as to suitability of a Huntress in general and on this boat in particular.

Best wishes, and thanks in advance.

Hello.
I am the Eastern Ports rep for the Fairey Owners Club and own two Huntress-hulled boats, a Dell Quay Ranger and a Campbell Christina.
I'm based in Ipswich and can probably assist in your evaluations for a boat to be kept locally..
