Quick update Sabre Knight

Post by FrankS »

I'm having trouble uploading multiple pics but here's a few from the last week's work.

Work so far has included.
New toe rails
New window beading
remove and machine polish all windows
Re-groove and re-caulk the deck
Clean and re-paint all bilges
Remove all existing wiring and navigation ready for re-wire
Remove all upholstery and head linings
So far I've done around 200 hours and have been hampered by the weather so hopefully it'll be tented next week

Pleased to see you are making good progress.

Be careful with that white masking tape, once wet its a devil to remove. Toolstation sell a blue waterproof one, it is cheaper than the Scotch 3M one and seems pretty good to me. Toolstation also have a Prodec yellow tape for getting clean sharp edges which is very good, but needs extreme caution when removing.

Make sure you check all that earth bonding too. 0.3 Ohms or less.

Marineflex until we ran out and finished the last window with Sikaflex. I prefer Marineflex although others swear by Sikalfex.
