Eastern Ports Event at SYH: 25-27th June 2021

A sunny, safe and successful event took place this weekend at Suffolk Yacht Harbour where Fairey - and other classic motor-boats - attended the SYH Regatta taking part in a 'Parade of Power' on the Saturday afternoon. With independent judging our Club's 'Boat of the Day' award was presented to Jamie Wilkins with his H28 'Europa II' formerly known as 'Ischia'.

As a Club this demonstrates strength in depth : As 30 people sat down to a Western Ports Dinner in the Royal Dart Yacht Club on Saturday evening at the same time, same day, about 24 people were enjoying the refreshments provided by SYH aboard the 7 Faireys at Levington, Suffolk, in the evening sun in this inaugral Eastern Ports event.

Thank you Suffolk Yacht Harbour - we look forward to next year.

Thanks Martin, we had a great day on Saturday even though our boat was about 150 miles away. Very impressed with all the boats that were there, great talking to some of the FOC members from the Eastern ports.

Hello everybody.

Here is a link to many still pictures taken over the weekend where all sailing boats and all power boats were made of wood except our Spear but being ex-military that is of course forgiven ... https://www.syhclassicregatta.co.uk/gallery2019 ...

And this is a link to their video on YouTube ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgiszptmxLA ... with some shots from the drone.
