Devon Boats 2022

An update on actual Fairey built boats in South Devon. Again as far as I know.
Sea Swordsman at Mount Batten Plymouth
Apollyon at Mayflower Marina Plymouth. Now for sale
333 under a framed cover at Plymouth dry stack, being repainted.
Yoshiko 31 aft cabin. Still being restored at Bangers shed Island st Salcombe.
Seven Dials, Being restored at Baltic Wharf Totnes.
Rigmarole In the shed at East Cornworthy.
Marlin Express. Now in action from Darthaven Kingswear.
Ford Fantasy. In use from Brixham Marina.

Has the Western Ports matter died or is this just a blip. Only 3 Devon boats actively used, plus of course
the Dell Quay Ranger in Exmouth, a Fairey Hull. The Solent really is the epicentre, more so than ever

And although not quite an epicentre, Poole wasn't doing too badly for Spearfishes and other Fairey’s last week.
There was Hercules, Tarquol, Speedwell of Jersey (having a little fettling done) and Dawn Patrol all in the Spearfish department, but also a Swordsman, Hummingbird the Fantome, a Huntress in Poole Yacht club and Spitfire the Supermarine too.
I’m sure there must be more I haven't mentioned or seen.
Thankfully all as popular as ever.

Hopefully just a blip! I am determined to get Aruna (Omega 828 - not actually a Fairly) in the water at some point in 2023. The project is still very much alive and progressing well.

MPS... you had another 'new' Fairey boat to add to your list tucked away down by the Arne peninsular - RoNeY, aka Rosina of Netley enjoyed the pleasures of Poole Harbour for the weekend! I had a stunning blast down early Saturday morning, but a much slower 'trundle' home on Sonday -no point in getting to Hurst any earlier so timed it just right, then had a wonderful blast back to Newtown Creek....

Belongs to David at Wessex Marine. He has two. I’m suprised he has not got a Flying Potting shed
as he sells plenty of them.
