Flower Power

Saw (and just about heard) FP on Tuesday at Port Hamble. Never seen a Huntsman with no engine smoke, with such a fantastic burble from the engines. Would love to know what they are…I’d replace my engines for those like a shot! Anyone help me here? Cheers all. Peter

Hello Peter

I thought about your southwards move a few days back, will call.

FP has Perkins Sabre M215c, they are proving to be a very popular choice in a Huntsman. The only draw back is finding a pair.

I put the M265 in Playtime, as you say, virtually no smoke.

Hi Peter

sorry for the late reply i don't get on the Forum much, FP is my boat and i must say thank you as it was a nice surprise to see your post.
Ben is correct they are Perkins 215 c I have played around with them slightly upgrading the pumps and injectors and turbos but that's it current kicking our around 260 each!
She has straight through over size exhausts which help with the burble.
can i which which H28 is yours ?
cheers

Hi Josh. Mine is Protector - hull 105. Currently having her windows replaced and window apertures remodelled! I keep her in Craobh, on the West Coast of Scotland. Hope to finish her this winter, but the day job - fixing other peoples’ boats - gets in the way! Hence the fact I saw FP…,from the Spearfish I was working on!
