Tireur
I am pleased to confirm that Per has handed the custodianship of Tireur to Katharine and I. She is now at Birdham Pool Chichester returning to a previous home when owned by Derek Wood (i understand). She is under going a light polish before taking to the water. It is clear that she was well loved during Per's ownership. I hope that i can maintain Per's immaculate attention to detail, record keeping and maintenance programme. Per has certainly provided a sound foundation going forward. We used Elvy Transport for the trip from Totnes and were impressed with their attention to detail and flexibility in working around various Covid issues. We hope to plan a trip to the West Country next year but this year will be a gentle introduction and confidence building - i am not sure that Katharine will let me out of Chichester Harbour and we dont want to get a reputation in the club for pontoon bashing!. Time to brush down RYA powerboat level 2.

Re: Tireur
Good News Jonathan. I found my H28 at Birdham, a lovely spot. Are you keeping the engines. Tireur is a very original boat
and all the better for it.

I have seen her at Birdham undergoing some work...My Huntress 23, Hermes, is berthed there, for now.
Tireur is looking very smart.

Re: Tireur
There are a couple of minor things to deal with
Finish the transom paint
Sort out the rear cabin leak, port side rear.
And get the engines back to full output. Fuel pumps, injectors, perhaps.
A lovely boat.

Re: Tireur
According to my records, you both joined FOC in 2014! Took you long enough!
Well done, she is a lovely boat and Birdham is a nice spot.
By coincidence, the last time I went onboard Tireur was in 2002 at Bridham, the late Simon Hartwell had her, I went to see him to pick up a few things he had for the Huntress he'd rebuilt that I owned at that time. We popped round to Birdham for me to see Tireur, she was very well kept then.
Hope to see you afloat soon.
